Various Musical Situations...

Piano Bar, headed for Ivories Jazz Lounge & Restaurant

We're looking forward to opening early November.

Located at 15th and Flanders, in Portland's Pearl district--a block from the Rogue Brewery, and a block from Touche'--we'll be able to seat over 100, and plan for music 6 days a week.

I've had a specially designed plexiglas lid made for my Mason & Hamlin, and a warm glow emanates from the rope lights inside. 8 stools surround the grand, providing a powerful musical experience, as well as the opportunity for socializing with your neighbors.

The earlier dinner set will feature Portland's finest pianists playing jazz and requests. The late set on weekends will run from 8:30 to 12 (or later), and present my trio with added vocalist or horn player Fridays.  Guest local, as well as international, groups Saturdays.

Other creative ideas, and surprises, are in store. For example, down the road, there'll be an evening called, "Conversations," probably Tuesdays, where two local musicians, who normally do not play together, perform without rehearsal or preparation.

Acropolis
This track attests to what some have suspected: that my mind is irrepairably warped and distorted: a Moog solo from "1000 Hours Symphony, with the rock band, Acropolis in Denmark.
